11-15-2012- REMAKE- Crescent Pizzas

I got a bit behind :-( Things seemed to get very busy all of a sudden.

Along with doing new pins, I'm remaking some of our favorites. This is a remake of the Grand's Pizzas since I didn't get any pictures the first time.

Noah had so much fun helping squish the dough

Putting on the sauce

Adding a little cheese (it was so cute watching him decide how much was enough, too much or too little)

And yes, that's bits of string cheese on top. All we had was "mexican blend" cheese so I cut some up for baking.

And it didn't melt well....

But it still tasted yummy! If When we make them again, I'll be sure to have shredded mozzarella on hand.

10/24/2012- Pizza Dough

So, this was the best and worst Pin try so far....I made pizza dough. Well, Noah and I made pizza dough. I started out following this recipe, but when it came time to mix, it was gooey and didn't form up like it should. I've made bread before with my grandparents, so I know what it should look and feel like, and this was far from.

So, I called up grandma desperate for help. She told me to add more flour to try to clump/dry it up and get it to form correctly. So, I added....and added.....and added. Three extra cups I added, plus a few handfuls that I added before I called her. It was crazy!

After it was all said and done, it rose up out of the bowl. A few hours in the fridge and a couple out and I cut it in half (froze half) and made a DELICIOUS pizza. The crust was AMAZING. Next time, though, I'm adding garlic butter to the crust. Mmmmmmm

*The second time I made the pizza (from the other half) I added the garlic butter to the crust and it was SO good. I highly recommend it! I'm also going to experiment and try to make a "stuffed crust" like Pizza Hut does. It's Aaron's favorite pizza.

10-02-2012- Crescent Pizza, Dyed Pasta

Noah has started to enjoy pizza (which I'm not fond of) and I figured now would be as good a time as any to get some healthier options in him as far as pizza goes. So, we did a cool pin I saw with Grands Rolls, pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni. Aaron and Noah made it while Mason slept on me on the sofa, so I didn't see it until the end. Noah was SO proud of himself! And they were really delicious. All 8 were gone by the next night.

That night while Aaron and Noah played upstairs and I had time to make dinner, I made dyed noodles. Noah's been on a kick lately that green is his favorite color. You should hear how adamant he is about that. So, I colored his noodles green! He was so surprised and loved it. Aaron said dinner looked like Christmas since I had red sauce on it.
